Vitamix 2Lt Jug with Wet Blade for E320 Low Profile – Also suitable for the Vitamix PRO750. NOT suitable for the TNC5200 models.
Smaller Quantities in 2Lt Low Profile Jug of Vitamix E320
The 2Lt low-profile jug of the Vitamix E320 is designed to be shorter and wider at the base in order to better fit on most kitchen countertops. Because of the shape of the jug, it does require more ingredients than other jugs, making it tricky to blend smaller batches. When using this low profile jug, we recommend using at least 3-4 cups of ingredients in order to cover the blades and prevent splashing. Additionally, we recommend always starting with liquid first (enough to cover the blades) and further working your way up from soft to hard ingredients.
Add ingredients to the jug in the order listed to ensure the fastest, smoothest blends. (See image below)
- Dry Goods
- Leafy Greens
- Fruit & Vegetables
- Ice & Frozen Ingredients
When starting your machine, hold at a low speed (1 or 2) for a few seconds until you see the blades “grab” hold of the ingredients. Then, slowly, increase the speed to where you need it.
Once the blades “grab” hold of the ingredients, fight the instinct to remain at a low speed. High speeds create a faster, smoother blend. Do not be afraid to crank it up to 10.
The tamper presses think and frozen mixtures into the blades to keep them circulating. While the machine is running and the lid is on, remove the lid plug and insert the tamper through the opening. Don’t worry – the tamper will not touch the blades.
Blend for the full processing time that is suggested in the recipe. Most recipes are done in less than 60 seconds, soups, and sauces in less than 7 minutes.
To clean the jug: Fill the jug half-way with warm water, add a drop of dishwashing liquid, and secure the lid. Start the machine and slowly increase to the highest speed. Run for 60 seconds and rinse with warm water. The Jug is dishwasher safe.
